Turner and Webb will address why recent accounting abuses happened, how to prevent their reoccurrence, and what the Sarbanes-Oxley Act means for the future of accounting.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Buchanan Auditorium (Room W10) of the John Pappajohn Business Administration Building at the corner of Clinton and Jefferson streets on the University of Iowa campus in Iowa City.

The Institute sponsors accounting research, hosts annual public forums on contemporary accounting and auditing issues, provides undergraduate and graduate students access to professional research and educational materials, and is a resource for the media on accounting, auditing and stock market matters.
