The University of Iowa's Henry B. Tippie College of Business has been ranked 29th best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, notching another gain as the school continues to climb in prominence.

Tippie shared the 29th spot with Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management, the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business and Washington University's John M. Olin School of Business.

The school appears on a variety of lists compiled by magazines. It is ranked 25th in the nation and 35th in the world by the Economist and 36th in the United States by the Financial Times. Forbes has called it the fifth-best return on investment among business schools and BusinessWeek has named it one of the nation's 50 best.

Students graduating from Tippie in 2002 had an average annual starting salary, including bonus, of $83,817. Three-quarters of the graduates had jobs at graduation and more than 94 percent were employed within three months of graduation.
