Des Moines Register reporter Chad Graham recently sat in on a discussion in an auditing class at the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. In his column, Grapham notes last year's scandals that rocked Enron, ImClone, WorldCom, Arthur Andersen, Xerox, Qwest, and other companies and that Congress passed the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. He says these students will get good jobs in corporate America--and encounter a nest of small unethical temptations. "There are all kinds of ethical dilemmas that entry-level professionals will face. It's not just the Ken Lays of the world faced with these dilemmas," said accounting professor, LYNN PRINGLE, of the former Enron executive. "With the devastation of those scandals, we have to take measures to instill sound ethical behavior in our students."
