Three UI MBA Students To Use Airport for Class Project

Three UI students have chosen to muddy the boundary between the academic world and the "real world" by analyzing the ongoing dialogue surrounding the Iowa City Municipal Airport for a class project. MBA students Ronelle Langley and Chris Fultz were present at the Oct. 9 Airport Commission meeting to introduce themselves and their project to the panel. Along with MBA student David Lange, they are looking at a community issue in conjunction with a class, Dynamics of Negotiation and Conflict Management. In her 10 years of teaching at the UI, Associate Professor TERRY BOLES said, the trio is only the second group to study a contemporary Iowa City problem for its final project. She added that students typically chose a historical case study or analysis of information from business publications.
