Thaddeus Sim Named Delta Sigma Pi Teaching Assistant of the Month

Thaddeus Sim Delta Sigma Pi has named Thaddeus Sim, a PhD candidate in Management Sciences, as Teaching Assistant of the Month for March 2004. Sim's selection was determined through a nomination and voting process by the more than 100 members of the Delta Sigma Pi Epsilon Chapter at The University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business.

The awards are part of the fraternity's efforts to improve relationships with faculty and staff in the Tippie College and to better communicate the students' respect and gratitude. Sim was selected on the following criteria: dedication and passion for his field; care and concern for the education and advancement of students; time and expertise devoted to students; excellence in leadership and knowledge; willingness to give extra effort to help students in and out of the classroom; and involvement in The University of Iowa and the community.

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity, and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote a closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
