Lifang Wu Wins APICS Dissertation Research Competition

Lifang Wu Lifang Wu, a PhD candidate in Management Sciences, has won first place in the APICS Dissertation Research Competition. His submission, "Essays on Product Variety Management," was selected as one of two first-place winners.

The Award, which comes with a $1,250 prize, is presented as part of the APICS Educational and Research Foundation's Plossl Dissertation Research Competition. The judges reported that they were very impressed with Wu's theoretical models used for decision making under various product variety scenarios.

APICS--The Educational Society for Resource Management is a not-for-profit international educational organization founded in 1957 as the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
