Tippie School of Management Remains in Top 50 of U.S. News Ranking
In the specialty rankings, the Accounting Department at the Tippie College of Business was ranked 28th by U.S. News.
The rankings are determined by a combination of factors that include measures of program reputation, placement success of 2003 graduates, and student selectivity. U.S. News surveyed 377 accredited MBA programs in the U.S. from among the more than 600 programs that are offered nationally.
"We are renewing our efforts to do those things that are important for the MBA program: recruiting the best students, providing the best curriculum and professional development, and facilitating excellent job placements," said Gary Gaeth, associate dean of MBA programs in the Tippie School of Management.
Other publications also rank the Tippie School of Management among the top business schools, including a recent survey by the Financial Times, which ranked it 49th among the full-time MBA programs in the world, 33nd among U.S. programs, and 13th among programs at public U.S. universities.
The Tippie School of Management offers three MBA programs designed to enhance professional education: a Full-Time MBA; the Evening MBA for part-time students in Des Moines, Newton, Cedar Rapids and the Quad Cities; and the Executive MBA, with programs in Iowa City and Des Moines. The Tippie School also offers a Dual Master's Degree Program for engineers, in conjunction with Iowa State University, and an International Executive MBA program in Hong Kong.
