Tippie Student Gains Experience through Internship
Participants in internship programs are able to gain new perspectives on potential careers as they acclimate to a professional work environment. The UI Career Center is a campus resource that helps students find internship opportunities to apply their skills at a variety of organizations and businesses.
Jessica Gissal, a junior majoring in marketing and international business, completed an internship in external relations, public education and marketing through her work at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), in Washington, D.C. The internship allowed Gissal to experience the process of bringing a product to market. "I have experienced everything from idea generation to product development to promotions. This internship will play a huge role in directing me after graduation."
