GE executive to kick off NCS Leadership Series Sept. 14

John Rice, executive vice president and chief operating officer of General Electric Power Systems, will speak Sept. 14 at the University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie College of Business as the first speaker in the NCS Leadership Series.

The lecture will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Room W401 of the Pappajohn Business Building at the UI. Rice will speak on leadership in a dynamic environment, relating his experiences at GE to the environment students will face in today's business world.

The NCS Leadership Series is intended to share the knowledge and expertise of top business leaders with UI business students and faculty.

Rice has held several top management positions at General Electric, including president and CEO of GE Transportation Systems and president of GE Plastics Pacific.
