Camp and Recreation Fair Set for Feb. 8 at Iowa Memorial Union
More than 50 organizations offering summer jobs and internships in the camp and recreation fields will be attending. These organizations are from various locations including New York and Colorado and are seeking students from all majors.
"Students can gain valuable leadership, communication, teamwork and public interaction experience from summer employment or an internship with a camp or recreation department," said Angi Schumacher, associate director of marketing at the UI Career Center. Students in majors such as education, rehabilitation therapies, leisure studies, education, psychology and social work will especially benefit from this real-world experience, she added.
A full list of participating organizations is available on the Career Center website.
The Camp and Recreation fair is also seeking student volunteers; please call 319-335-3531 if you are interested.
