Erin Donohue feels she's getting all she can out of college. She's studying the three things that interest her most at the University of Iowa: her majors are dance and management, and she's earning a minor in Spanish.

"Dance has always been a passion in my life, but business is really my practical major," she says. "I know I'll be able to use it in the long term, and using Spanish is very important in the business world."

She's already putting to work the business acumen gained at Tippie through her involvement in the Hancher Advisory Committee, a co-chair position affiliated with UI Student Government.

"This has been great because I've been able to tie my business knowledge and my arts background together. I've used my budgeting and accounting skills in planning post-performance events, and that's given me valuable experience."

Erin's also learning through her role as a resident advisor (RA) in her college residence hall.

"I really like working with people and someday I'd like to work in human resource management," she says. "My role as an RA has really taught me a lot about time management, and it's helped me to understand how I deal with people. When I'm faced with challenges, I choose to help teach my residents responsibility through different methods. Ultimately, the girls on my floor have taught me a great deal."

Making the most out of the opportunities on campus and learning from experiences.

That's The Power of I.
