Our students will tell you they didn’t have to wait long to see the impact of a Tippie education.
- Laura Westercamp had no idea she would end up pursuing four majors, studying abroad in London and Greece, holding an internship in Colorado, and becoming part of the world-class Hawkinson Institute of Business Finance, which helped her secure a job in investment banking.
- Laura Nass was admitted to Tippie College as part of the Tippie Scholars early admission program. She joined the the Hawkinson Institute and was elected president of the Tippie Senate. She said Tippie transformed her from a shy high school student to a very involved college student who “has a busy and hectic schedule” she loves.
- John Herold is a double major in sports marketing and management and hopes one day to work for the Minnesota Twins. He found a mentor in Tippie’s Ken Brown. Herold’s love of sports led him to an internship with the University of Iowa’s sports marketing department. He also took his first study abroad trip through the college.
- Michael Hubbard’s Tippie team made it to the semifinal round of a business plan contest sponsored by Fortune magazine and CNN.com.
