Tippie College Group Study Room

Group Study Rooms

The Tippie College of Business, with support from student technology fees, has created technology spaces to facilitate student group work within the Pappajohn Business Building. This facility has three study areas that include the following services:

  • White board and markers
  • Internet-accessible computer loaded with ITC software
  • Printer

The rooms are designed for small student groups of approximately 3-6 students.

Rules for Use:

  • The facility is available only for currently enrolled Tippie College of Business students.
  • Rooms are available only for academic group work.
  • No food or beverages are allowed.
  • Reservations may be made no more than two weeks in advance for a maximum of two hours.
  • Users shall leave the room in a clean and orderly condition: trash collected; white board cleaned; chairs in proper order.

Procedures:

  • The external door will remain locked unless the onsite lab monitor is in the center room. It will be unlocked for students, but remain closed and locked while in use.
  • Reservations may be made online or in W294. Slots are available in 1/2-hour increments, with a maximum of two hours.
  • Reservations are subject to verification.
  • A release form must be signed and a student ID surrendered to the staff member.
  • If necessary, users will be reminded when their time has expired.
  • The room will be checked by a staff member prior to signing release and returning student ID.
