Study Abroad

The Tippie College offers a wide variety of study-abroad programs that are located on five continents. In today’s diverse and global business economy, these programs offer our students a way to expand their minds and their careers.

Undergraduates

Whether an undergraduate or MBA student, we provide a number of opportunities for our students to develop cultural competencies. Undergraduate business students can participate in summer internship programs in London or Madrid; intersession courses in London; and take courses in Italy through the Consortium of Universities for International Studies (CUIS), which is administered by The University of Iowa. In addition, students can earn a Certificate in International Business or take advantage of other study-abroad opportunities available through the University.

MBA Students

Many MBA students are encouraged to participate in international travel. International exposure is a core component of our academic experience in the Full-time MBA Program. Trips to Hong Kong provide current domestic students the chance to interact with students and alumni from our Hong Kong program.

Students in our Executive MBA Program travel to Brazil in the second year of their program while MBA-PM students may chose to participate in the Hong Kong trip or other travel opportunities. Our International Executive MBA Program is offered in Hong Kong and brings together executive-level students from the area.
