“Where do I get experience if no one is willing to hire me?”

The answer: an internship that bridges academics and the professional world. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience and learn more about your career choice, while making important contributions to a business or organization.

It’s the perfect setting to practice your communication, teamwork, and networking skills; give you confidence in your own abilities; and develop new skills and knowledge. Plus, it’s a great way to find out if your chosen career path is a good fit for you. In addition, companies get to “try out” a potential employee. Many internships are looked at as extended job interviews—often, the student is hoping to be offered a full-time position.

An internship is a valuable addition to your resume. Don’t graduate without one!

For more information on internships, undergraduates should contact the Pomerantz Career Center, and MBA students should contact MBA Career Services.
