Accounting Students Providing Free Tax Prep

Tippie accounting majors will again provide free tax preparation services to low income residents of Johnson County. Students in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) are certified by the IRS in preparing returns and have taken at least one tax course at the Tippie College.

Tippie MBA students have recently taken first or second place in two other competitions: Baylor University's MBA National Case Competition in Ethical Leadership (first) and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Cup (second).

Okoboji Institute on Big Ten Network

The Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute will be featured in the next edition of Iowa Magazine on the Big Ten Network. The program debuts Feb. 28 at noon (central time) and will air periodically through March. Eight UI entrepreneurship students are chosen each year to participate in the week-long institute.
