Welcome to the University of Iowa's Henry B. Tippie College of Business. While it's great to be a Hawkeye, it is even better to be a Hawkeye who studies business.
The Tippie College of Business is a special place because of our students. As a Tippie student, we expect you to work hard in your classes, get involved with student organizations and college events, and do things the right way. The Tippie College of Business will give you the opportunity to do great things.

Direct Admit Seminar
Direct admission students are required to take course 6B:020 during their first semester at the University of Iowa. An important benefit is that the course instructor will also serve as your academic advisor. This course is designed to facilitate a successful transition to college. Topics include Tippie College traditions and expectations; skills for academic and personal success; majors and academic opportunities; advisor/advisee responsibilities; campus resources; career exploration skills; living and working in a multicultural and global society. The course encourages students to be actively engaged in the Henry B. Tippie College of Business and University of Iowa communities.
