Tippie Roadmap

Engaging in professional development activities as an undergraduate will have a large impact on your job and internship search. In the current job market, a high GPA will not be enough to demonstrate to employers your skills and value as an employee. Think of your professional development as a puzzle—multiple pieces contributing to the overall picture. Get in the habit now of seeking out opportunities to develop professionally. Once you leave Tippie, it is your responsibility to continue to learn and grow as a professional.

The Tippie College of Business and the University as a whole have so many opportunities available to students, it can sometimes seem overwhelming. What opportunities do you take advantage of? The Roadmap will help you to determine what opportunities will be most beneficial.

Skills

The keyword for the Roadmap is: SKILLS. The Roadmap provides a way for you to evaluate skills that are important to develop, and opportunities where you can build and refine those skills. The Roadmap will help you put together a plan to navigate your experiences during your undergraduate career at the Tippie College of Business.

Whether you are just starting your academic career or getting ready to transition to full-time work, the Roadmap can provide a valuable way for you to record your skills and experiences.

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."—Maria Robinson
