Gamma Iota Sigma Conference Attendance Promotes Professional Development

Exposing students to the risk management and insurance industry outside the classroom is a priority for the Vaughan Institute and Gamma Iota Sigma. To achieve this, students attend several professional conferences throughout the year.

Tippie College and actuarial science students spent a November day with Nationwide® leaders and staff in Des Moines. The event focused on introducing attendees to the breadth of operations at Nationwide®, one of the largest and most diversified financial services companies in the U.S.

Risk Management Student Receives Anita Benedetti Grant

Tippie student Ali Rosenberg has received the 2014 Anita Benedetti Student Involvement Program grant from RIMS, the risk management society. The program recognizes the achievements of outstanding undergraduate and graduate risk management students, financially supporting their attendance at the RIMS 2014 Annual Conference & Exhibition in Denver on April 27-30.
