Please note: The Nationwide Professional Day has been cancelled. Nationwide will come to campus this academic year to meet with RMI students. I'll inform you of the date and time when the visit has been finalized.
RMI Student Resume Book
If you want your resume in the RMI resume book in time for the Career Fair, send Viana a current copy by September 15. The resume book will be emailed to more than 200 industry partners by September 20. Your resume may be included at any time during the semester; however, most employers will access the resume book before the Career Fair.
You must sign a waiver to be included in the resume book. Blank waivers are posted on the door as the Institute's offices S230 PBB.
Also, don't forget to update your resume on HireAHawk.

Bloomberg Assessments in November
The Tippie College of Business has been invited to host an assessment developed by the Bloomberg Institute for students interested in Finance, Global Markets, and Investment Banking. The assessment is free to students and is scheduled for either Friday, November 4, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or Sunday, November 6, from Noon to 3:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.bloomberginstitute.com/bat/start/students.html. Pomerantz Fall Jobs & Internships Fair

RMI students are strongly encouraged to attend the job and internship fair. When talking with employers, please identify yourself as a Vaughan Institute of Risk Management and Insurance student. More than 140 employers will be present. If you need help with your resume, attend the Vaughan Institute event on September 12. If you want employers to see your resume before the fair, post it in the Vaughan Institute Resume book by September 15.
Corporate Finance and Credit Seminar
November 4, Cedar Rapids
This all-day seminar (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) will teach you how the company assesses risk and extends credit to customers. Applications will be available at their booth at the Career Fair on September 22. A student who attended this seminar last year was hired full time after graduation.
In addition, GreatAmerica Leasing will have information about full-time internship opportunities at the career fair.

InVEST - a school to work insurance career program now is tweeting entry-level and internship positions from the Insurance Career Center. Follow InVEST on Twitter to stay connected to insurance careers as they come open. InVEST also has a Facebook page.
EMC Insurance (Des Moines)
EMC Insurance will be at the Job Fair on September 22. The company frequently has underwriting and claims summer internships in their Des Moines branch. This year, they also had internships in accounting, SIU, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, and technology

AEGON will have information about internships at the job and internships fair. Identify yourself as a RMI student when you speak with their representatives. Learn more about their full-time job opportunities and internships.
Principal Financial Group (Des Moines, IA)
Check the Principal Financial Group website for information about their internships and co-ops.

- State Farm is looking for an agent in Muscatine, IA. For more information, contact Amanda Buenemann.
- MassMutual recruits for financial representatives on a ongoing basis. For information about Iowa City openings, contact Tara Christensen.
- Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will hold a meet and greet at the Saloon on the Ped Mall on September 21 at 8:00 p.m. for students interested in learning about their financial representative positions. Come when you get out of class. You don't have to be there at 8:00 to participate. Contact Greg Massmore by September 19 if you plan to attend.
- Holmes Murphy and Associates will be attending the career fair. They offer rotational internships and hire recent graduates in Producer Developer and Account Manager roles.
