Also, let Viana know what you have been doing with your mentors and your spring plans. We will feature one or more of our mentoring "pairs" in upcoming issues of the Mentoring Newsletter. Expect an interview from a writer sometime during the spring semester. The Etiquette Dinner should be great fun. Unless you have a class you can't miss, this is a required activity.

Resume Book and Spring Job and Internship Fair
The RMI Resume Book will be emailed to nearly 250 recruiters and industry professionals in the US before the February Job and Internship Fair. If you send a new or updated resume, please remember to name it with your name. Most resumes that Viana receives (and this is true or recruiters as well) are just named "resume".

If you were in the fall Resume Book, you don't need to do anything to be included unless you want to update your resume. Please send Viana an updated copy and replace your resume on HireAHawk. If you have accepted a job or internship, please let Viana know and she will remove your resume.

If you weren't in the fall RMI Resume Book, but would like to be included in the spring edition, waivers are posted to the left of the Institute's offices at S230 PBB. Sign one and slide it under the door.

The deadline for submitting your resume and waiver to Viana is February 8. Resumes should be reviewed and approved by the Pomerantz Career Center before they are submitted for the RMI Resume book.

Career Series for International Students
The Pomerantz Center has six workshops scheduled specifically for International Students. Sign up today to attend the resume workshop, prepare for the job fair, learn job and internship search strategies and interviewing techniques and more. Workshops begin on January 30, so don't delay!

HireAHawk--Your Key to Success
Many students don't realize the importance of a membership in HireAHawk. In addition to on-campus contact with regional and national employers, you can do a search for national job postings, schedule an interview or mock interview, get tips and assistance with resumes and cover letters, and connect with alumni. Most of the Vaughan Institute's industry partners list internships and jobs on HireAHawk and set up interviews through this system. The HireAHawk system has changed. Click on this PowerPoint for tips on using the new system and posting your resume.
