American Association of Managing General Agents

University East Education Event, March 14-15

The annual AAMGA University East Education event will be held March 14-15, 2013 at the Georgia State University Buckhead Executive Center in Atlanta, Georgia. There are many opportunities for students to attend courses on both industry-specific and leadership topics while interacting with leaders of our industry. There will be two networking receptions, one on Wednesday evening and one on Thursday evening, where students are welcome to attend and make connections. For each student who attends any portion of the event, AAMG will connect him/her with a member who they can “shadow” in order to make additional connections to other members.

Registration fee is waived for students and professors. Daily snacks and lunch are provided free of charge, so for the cost of travel and hotel expense, students have the opportunity to meet and network with many potential employers in the Excess and Surplus Lines Industry. If this is too far to travel, they also have a similar event in Scottsdale, Arizona in the fall. Find full registration details at: http://www.aamga.org/node/3711. To register, simply complete the “Student Registration Form.” Although professors are invited, the Institute is not aware of any UI professors who plan to attend and this is not an official University activity.
