IMU Main Lounge 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. If you're looking for a summer internship or job, plan now to attend the Pomerantz Career Center Spring Career Fair. Many Vaughan Institute partners will be present, including Grinnell Mutual, AEGON, United Fire Group, and Nationwide. View a full list of participants. If you're looking for a job, you may want to post your resume on the Risk and Insurance Management career site.
Student Resume Book
Resumes must be updated on Expo early Feb. 23Only RMI students and Gamma Iota Sigma members can be included in the RMI resume book that is emailed to nearly 70 individuals and companies. If you plan to be included in time for the Career Fair, you must have a current resume posted on Expo by Monday, Feb. 23. Email Viana Rockel when your resume is complete and posted on the Expo site. You must also sign a release form and drop it by the Institute's offices at S230 PBB. If no one is present, slide the release under the door. Resumes can be also be included after the Career Fair.
IIAI-State Licensure Study Materials
The Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa will provide free study materials to any student interested in taking the state licensure exams for Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Life and Health Lines. These tests aren't just useful for those seeking positions as producers. Taking the tests while in college can give you a competitive edge as an underwriter, claims adjuster and in other positions. The tests are offered in the Iowa City area and the IIAI has study classes you can attend as well.
If you're interested in a copy of the study materials, please contact Bob Skow. He will confirm with the Institute that you are an RMI student in good standing before issuing your copy of the study materials.
