Cut down on costs. Advance further in your career.

As your career evolves, so do your professional development needs. Let your MBA alma mater help.

Dive deep into topics that are relevant to your current position, from investment strategies to team development, negotiations, and Lean practices. Starting in 2016, the Tippie College of Business is offering a scholarship to its MBA alumni that covers over 50% of tuition for select Professional MBA Program courses and select professional certificates in finance, leadership, and marketing.

How it works

  • Complete and submit a Professional Improvement application
  • Choose from the list of courses included in the program*
  • After registration, an alumni scholarship of $1,000 will be applied to your U-Bill to reflect the discounted tuition

The scholarship covers a little over half the regular tuition cost (normally $1,995 for a 3-credit course) in the Professional MBA Program. You may also be eligible for employer reimbursement depending on your employer’s policy. Use our employer deferment option to pay at the semester’s end, so you don’t have to pay up front if your employer will reimburse you later.

*For the finance, leadership, or marketing certificate: If you've already taken courses that are in the certificate's curriculum, up to two (6 s.h.) can be applied toward the certificate. The discount will be applied to the remaining three courses.

How and when to apply

Create your profile in our application portal. Select “Professional Improvement” as your Admission Type and “Alumni” under Professional Improvement Status Category. You’ll be on your way to discounted MBA courses quickly. No application fee required. Once you’re approved, we’ll take care of class registration for you.

Classes can fill quickly in the Professional MBA Program. We fill spots on a first-come, first-served basis, so earlier applicants will have priority over latecomers. Apply as early as possible to help ensure you’ll get the class you want.
