The Business Student Ambassador Organization (BSAO) represents the Tippie College of Business and the University of Iowa through its very own students called ambassadors. As ambassadors, we share a great passion for Tippie. We guide Pappajohn Business Building visitors, host fun college functions, and assist in student recruitment activities. You can make a true difference within the college as a part of BSAO.
How to join
BSAO recruits in the spring semester using an application and interview process. Ambassadors are selected during the spring and begin formal training the following fall semester. Applicants must be admitted to the college (or have an application on file for the following fall semester) and have at least two semesters remaining before they graduate.
Ambassadors typically dedicate 10 to 15 hours per semester to BSAO and they are compensated for their time at $8.20 per hour. Our members would also note that the invaluable relationships and memories they have gained through the organization make their involvement worthwhile.
Help Tippie be the best
We assist with Tippie events that help recruit the very best future business students. We also facilitate events that bring the college together and maintain Tippie's connected culture.
Polishing your skills
Ambassadors practice their skills in public speaking, event planning, and communication as they interact with Tippie guests. These skills will help you with your academic success and stay with you as you embark on your next adventure after college.
