  • Early registration for Summer 2021 begins March 8 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time for students admitted to the Master of Business Analytics program and March 15 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time for students admitted to the Business Analytics Certificate.

Virtual Courses

To support the safety of our students and faculty during COVID-19, all Summer 2021 courses will be delivered virtually. All virtual core courses and many electives will be delivered similarly to the online/web courses, using a combination of required online weekly class sessions and recorded lectures. Elective courses that are scheduled to meet 6:00-9:40 p.m. typically do not have recorded content, but there may be exceptions. Students from all sites may enroll in any course regardless of the section identifier (EXA, EXB, EXF).

Contemporary Topics in Analytics: Applied Deep Learning

The course will include an introduction to deep learning and then hands-on, practical applications of the theory in computer vision, natural language processing, and time series forecasting. We will explore convolutional neural networks, generative adversarial networks, reinforcement learning, and recurrent neural networks using PyTorch and TensorFlow. Time permitting, we will discuss real-world deep learning implementations in cloud technologies such as AWS.
