  • June 9 - 10 (in Iowa City): NewBoCo - EntreFEST
    • Event Description: EntreFEST is a two-day conference, celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation where professionals at every level come together, share ideas, and own their success.
  • August 17 from 8 am - 1 pm (in-person): CBJ Diversity, Inclusion & Impact Symposium
    • Event Description: The Diversity, Inclusion & Impact Symposium will educate and inspire business and community leaders with nationally known speakers and best practices on the critical topics of diversity, equity, inclusion and engagement (DEI&E). The new half-day event is designed to meet employers where they are, no matter how far they are in their DEI&E journey.
  • May 12 from 7:00 - 9:00 am (in-person): Business Record - Power Breakfast Series
    • Event Description: The Power Breakfast Series features a panel discussion on topics of interest to C-level executives. These interactive events provide sharing of field expertise from panelists and encourage audience Q&A's for an in-depth look into each subject.
  • May 24 from 4:30 - 5:30 pm (in-person and virtual): DSM Data & Analytics: Tableau Tips & Tricks for BI Developers
    • Event Description: Dashboard users are always asking for more from us as developers. How many times have you heard them ask "What if we just…?” or "Can't you just…?” as they seek better data presentation and a friendlier user interface. Learn from Nick Kollauf, Sr. Software Engineer at F&G, as he demonstrates some Tableau-specific features for you to take back to your dashboard users to “Wow!” them and serve your customers more effectively.
  • August 4 from 4 - 7 pm (in-person): Business Record: Women of Influence
    • Event Description: For over 23 years, the Business Record has recognized women who have made outstanding contributions to the community in a variety of areas with the Women of Influence awards. Awards will be presented at a reception on Thursday, August 4. The Women of Influence awards celebrate the work of women who have made a difference. They have devoted their lives to doing things most wouldn’t. They have spent countless hours on various boards and they are role models with impeccable ethics. They have blazed a trail either personally or professionally for other women to follow. The Women of Influence event will recognize Central Iowa women for their contributions in the public or private sector. Winners are chosen based on the impact they have made in their chosen field or for their contributions through civic and philanthropic organizations. This event will also award the Woman Business Owner of the Year and Emerging Woman of Influence.
