The Tippie College of Business is an AACSB-accredited Big Ten academic institution with nearly limitless potential. We’re 4,000+ students strong with an engaged alumni network of over 50,000. Our recent AACSB review team described us as “positioned to conquer business education.” And we completely agree.

Through decisive, strategic action we’ve evolved our programming to serve the students of today, with an eye toward the needs of a future generation. The engine of our college is fueled by a collegial, collaborative faculty and staff who work within a culture of trust. Our strategic priorities

The Tippie College of Business provides business education, research, and engagement to produce bold solutions for a changing world. We are also committed to continuing our efforts toward Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We will pursue our mission and vision through three broad strategic priorities. Each priority is characterized by a series of outcomes, and these outcomes are mapped to dashboard metrics.

Strategic Priority #1: Research Excellence

Growing our research reputation is a top strategic priority for Tippie. How do we measure our success? Via comparison to peer institutions in the volume and impact of faculty publications, the quality of our PhD programs, and our ability to recruit and retain top-quality faculty.

Strategic Priority #2: Educating Problem Solvers Who Can Communicate

Tippie prepares its students to thrive in a complex future faced with rapid change, high levels of ambiguity, and increased automation. We believe the ability to solve problems and communicate solutions are fundamental skills that will stand the test of time—so much so, we’re recalibrating our curriculum around this philosophy.

Strategic Priority #3: Connections

We believe in relationships over transactions. Long-term value over short-term wins. Our culture is one that champions connections, both within our community of students, faculty, and staff, and through our alumni, community, and corporate partners. We measure our success through employment outcomes, research collaborations, and participation in non-traditional educational experiences.
