Applying to the Online BBA Program
Applications are accepted for fall and spring semesters only. The application deadline for the online BBA is May 1 for fall enrollment and December 1 for spring enrollment.
Option 1: Applying directly to Tippie
Students can apply for admission directly to the Tippie College of Business if they have a minimum of 24 semester hours of transferable college credit with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above on all courses taken AND have completed the following four prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better, and a GPA of 2.75 or above:
- MATH:1380 Calculus & Matrix Algebra
- STAT:1030 Statistics for Business
- ECON:1100 Principles of Microeconomics
- ACCT:2100 Introduction to Financial Accounting
If you meet these criteria, fill out the Transfer Student Application through the Office of Admissions. This page contains information on the application process, including fees, test scores and the link to the online application. In the application, remember to apply as a transfer student, select “Business” as your college and pick “Management: Entrepreneurial Management (Online BBA)” as your major area of interest.
Option 2: Start in the pre-online BBA track
A significant number of students interested in the online BBA haven’t completed the prerequisites required to apply directly to Tippie. If this is the case, consider starting the pre-online BBA track within the Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BLS) Program, which has its own admissions requirements and application process.
Do you have existing college credit?
Tippie has partnered with a number of Iowa and Illinois community colleges and created transfer guides to identify courses that will satisfy our admissions requirements. See how your credits translate or plan ahead.
