Important news about the Online BBA Program
The University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business is retiring its Online Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) degree program, and will no longer be taking new applications after May 1, 2019. Fall 2019 will be the final semester of admission to the Online BBA Program. Current and incoming students will be fully supported until graduation.

Applying to the Online BBA Program

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis but must be received by May 1, 2019 for summer or fall 2019 admission.

Students can apply for admission to the Tippie College of Business online BBA program if they have a minimum of 24 semester hours of transferable college credit with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above on all courses taken AND have completed the following four prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better, and a GPA of 2.75 or above:

  • MATH:1380 Calculus & Matrix Algebra
  • STAT:1030 Statistics for Business
  • ECON:1100 Principles of Microeconomics
  • ACCT:2100 Introduction to Financial Accounting

Fill out the Transfer Student Application through the Office of Admissions. This page contains information on the application process, including fees, test scores and the link to the online application. In the application, to apply as a transfer student, select “Business” as your college and pick “Management: Entrepreneurial Management (Online BBA)” as your major area of interest.
