While the university logs the date of birth of its 275,000 living alumni, deaths are not always reported to the university, making it difficult to determine if she’s the standard-bearer for longevity.

He spent his formative years in Iowa City while his mother, Virginia Reynolds (PhD84; MA78), completed a master's and PhD in business education at the University of Iowa. When it came time for him to go to college, he returned to the place that felt like home.
