Tippie College of Business
Lesanne B. Fliehler
This year’s 24-hour giving day—One Day for Iowa—encouraged UI alumni, parents, friends, and fans to contribute to the university and take advantage of limited-time challenges that could increase the impact of their donation.
Early results show that the Tippie College received gifts from more than 206 donors that raised almost $69,000 for the college’s Excellence Fund, Young Alumni Board, Frank Business Communications Center, and John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center.
Other results:
- Young Alumni Board won the Recent Grad Challenge: $2,000
- The Tippie College won the Parent Challenge: $2,000
- One of our graduates won a photo challenge by posting a photo with #1DayforIowa: $250
- We also received some funds through the Pappajohn Match, thanks to gifts from alumni who graduated since 2007. Details to come.
- Finally, the college and the Young Alumni Board both ended in the top 10 programs for number of gifts and received a portion of $40,000 for doing so. Details to come.
