After a 16-place jump in last year’s U.S. News & World Report ranking, the college’s part-time Professional MBA Program retained its #22 ranking this year. The program tied with University of Wisconsin, Arizona State University, Case Western Reserve University, Santa Clara University, and University of South Carolina.

The yearly professional school (non-specialty) rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research, and students. The data come from surveys of administrators in relevant fields conducted during the fall of 2018 and early 2019.

Tippie’s part-time MBA program is offered in Cedar Rapids, the Quad Cities, and Des Moines. Classes are predominantly in the evenings with some weekend or special intersession formats. There are a growing number of online classes.

Overall, the UI has 60 graduate colleges and programs ranked this year. Eleven hold top-10 rankings in their categories. Highlights of the rankings are available in America’s Best Graduate Schools 2020 guidebook. A paid subscription is required to access all of the data.
