About the Pappajohn Business Building

This 187,000-square-foot facility was completed in 1994. One of the largest academic buildings on campus, its design complements the classic architecture of the Pentacrest.

The building houses 27 classrooms that range from small (14-seat conference rooms) to large (387-seat auditorium). Whether the class has 32 or 70 students, all of the classrooms provide the latest in instructional technology. In addition, students take advantage of email stations that are located throughout the building and our Instructional Technology Center (ITC) is one of the largest computer labs on campus. Three computer classrooms also serve as overflow computer labs at night when class is not in session. Specialized laboratories are devoted for management sciences student projects and research.

The two floors of the Pomerantz Business Library provide students with the latest publications, computers with specialized software, small-group study rooms, individualized study spaces, and online resources.

Open atrium spaces, seating lounges, and an outdoor patio and courtyard provide plenty of places for students to gather, study, and relax. Pat's Diner provides options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition, the building houses our six academic departments, our unique centers and institutes, and the administration of the college. This one facility offers so much that many of our students feel that the Pappajohn Business Building is their home-away-from-home while on campus.
