The Food and Drug Administration and Abbott Labs reached an agreement to reopen one of the largest baby formula plants in the country. Production could start at Abbott Labs location in Michigan in about two weeks, but how did this happen? Jennifer Blackhurst, a professor of Business Analytics at the University of Iowa, said the baby formula shortage is the perfect storm of two main issues.
