SBDC Sponsors QuickBooks Introductory Workshop
The workshop will be held Monday, Aug. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room C231 of the Pappajohn Business Building at the corner of Jefferson and Clinton streets in Iowa City. Registration fee is $89. To register, contact the SBDC at 319-335-3742 or by e-mail to paula-mcmartin@uiowa.edu.
The workshop is a basic introduction course for new QuickBooks users, demonstrating not only how QuickBooks works but providing an in-depth understanding of the accounting theory behind each transaction a business owner makes. Topics covered include: Introduction to QuickBooks; Basics of Setting up QuickBooks; Creating a "Company"; Working with Lists; Using Other Accounts; and Working with Bank Accounts.
The Iowa SBDC is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
