FastTrac Training Program for Entrepreneurs Starts Feb. 21

Aspiring entrepreneurs can evaluate business opportunities and develop a business plan at the FastTrac NewVenture training program offered by the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (JPEC). The sessions will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on eight Thursday nights in the John Pappajohn Business Building, starting Feb. 21 and ending April 17. The registration fee is $149, and the deadline is Monday, Feb. 18. The FastTrac NewVenture training program helps Iowans take the first steps to start or expand a business. Participants will develop the skills necessary to properly evaluate a business opportunity and leave with a written plan for launching their new venture, and will also learn about funding options. The program is co-sponsored by the Small Business Development Center at the University of Iowa, the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce and F&M Bank.
