Mick Mount Receives Scientific Contributions Award
Mick Mount, professor of management and organizations, won the Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award from the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
The award has been given each year since 1983 to the scholar who has made the most distinguished empirical and/or theoretical scientific contributions to the field of industrial and organizational psychology. He shares this award with Murry Barrick, a former Tippie faculty member who is now at Texas A&M.
Mount's expertise includes multirater (360-degree) feedback systems, personality assessment, and personnel selection. He is a current editorial board member of Personnel Psychology. He received a B.S. in psychology (1973) from The University of Iowa, and an M.S. in psychology (1975) and a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology (1977), both from Iowa State University.
