UI Career Center Recognizes NCS Pearson as Top Intern Employer
NCS Pearson consistently hires students in the areas of management sciences, computer science, mathematics, accounting, finance, management, and other areas, said Jane Schildroth, director of Career Education and Programming in the Career Center.
"NCS Pearson is extremely supportive of our programming efforts such as mock interview week and the IOWA Advantage web-based portfolio program. And, they are dedicated to maintaining a good relationship with our Center," said Schildroth.
In recognizing NCS Pearson, the Career Center looked at criteria including learning opportunity, evaluation of progress and development of the intern, communication with the Career Center and the intern, and the ability to fulfill the university's mission to provide quality learning opportunities for interns. This is the fifth year the Career Center has recognized intern employers.
"NCS Pearson is delighted with the Intern Employer of the Year designation, especially considering our proximity to the university. Coming from a variety of disciplines, the UI students have proven to be top performers. It's exciting to watch them engage very quickly and take on vital roles in our businesses. We hope they gain from the experience as much as we do are having them here," said Kathleen Minette, director of Human Resources, Assessments and Testing, North America at NCS Pearson.
