Coffee Shop Owner Profits from Class

Tara Cronbaugh was looking through a University of Iowa course book in 1993 and came across a word she didn't know: "Entrepreneurship." So she looked it up and found, "a person who organizes and manages a business undertaking, assuming the risk for the sake of the profit." Right away Cronbaugh knew that was the class for her. "I wrote the professor a letter in the summer and said I wanted to take the class, but it was full," she said. "He said, 'just come to class and I will let you in.'" That course, "Entrepreneurship: new business formation," was Cronbaugh's first business class and the turning point in her life.
