Scholarships, Financial Aid, and Tuition
The University of Iowa and the Henry B. Tippie College of Business have an excellent record of helping students finance their education through scholarships, grants, loans, and other forms of financial assistance. Approximately 88 percent of Iowa students receive some form of aid.
The Tippie College of Business is fortunate to have many donors who are willing to provide financial assistance to our undergraduate students. The college currently has more than 200 scholarships available to help you pursue your education. Eligibility for current students requires admission to Tippie by the start of the fall 2015 semester. Being enrolled in a certificate program does not apply.
Prospective first-year students who expect to be admitted directly to the Tippie College should apply for First-Year Scholarships. For additional first-year scholarships, specifically Accounting Majors, please contact the Accounting Department.
Each year the scholarship application for business majors is posted on the Undergraduate Program website and announced in the Tippie Update e-newsletter during the first week of January. The closing date (no exceptions) for applications is the last day of February. Scholarships are typically awarded near the end of the spring semester.
Most of our scholarships have specific criteria that include:
- Demonstrated financial need
- Pursuit of specific majors or certificates
- Outstanding scholarship
- Membership in specific student organizations.
In addition, various scholarships specify other relevant factors, including demonstrated community service or preferences for residents of certain Iowa counties. Scholarships require full-time enrollment. View the full list of scholarships. You need only submit one application for all College of Business scholarships.
