On campus

Tippie College of Business’s on-campus presence spans multiple buildings with state-of-the-art technology, amenities, and classroom space to accommodate the college’s growing student population. This includes the largest academic building on campus with one of the largest computer labs on campus, which is reserved for business students during certain hours of the day. These facilities are the result of a lot of hard work, planning, and key financial support from our alumni.

Pappajohn Business Building (PBB)

With more than 187,000 SF, the Pappajohn Business Building is the largest academic building on campus. The building includes the second-largest computer lab on campus, a two-story library (a favorite quiet study spot), conference rooms, laptop bars, and it’s own diner. Business students have preferential access to the computer lab from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Pomerantz Center (PC)

Opened in 2005, the Pomerantz Center houses the college’s Full-time and Executive MBA Programs—and the Pomerantz Career Center, which provides career and intern placement services for undergraduate students. Academic Advising and the Admissions Visitors Center are also in this building. Classrooms range from smaller rooms (29 seats) to the HNI Auditorium (400 seats).

Bedell Entrepreneurship Learning Laboratory (BELL)

Student entrepreneurs with a business idea can make it a reality in one of the 17 offices in the BELL. Opened in 2004, this business incubator provides access to UI faculty, mentoring, and consulting.

Off-campus

Our commitment to serving the needs of students, working professionals, and businesses extends beyond Iowa City. Three physical locations off-campus help us achieve that goal.

Cedar Rapids

Located in downtown Cedar Rapids, this 12,000 SF space helps us serve the broader Corridor with programs designed for working professionals. It has four large classrooms, five small breakout rooms, a conference room, and a student lounge.

Des Moines

Located in the Pappajohn Education Center in the heart of downtown Des Moines, this contemporary facility houses our Professional MBA, Executive MBA, graduate Business Analytics, and Professional & Executive Education Programs.

Quad Cities

The Birchwood Learning Center in Davenport is the college’s new home in the Quad Cities. It provides several classrooms for students in Tippie’s programs for working professionals. Small group rooms provide the perfect place for student teams to meet.
