Welcome to Business Analytics.

We're thrilled that you're a part of our community. There's plenty to do before you begin your first class, and we know you're busy, so we've laid it all out for you. Check out the steps below to get started. At the bottom of the page, see some resources and services at your disposal.

Getting started

Step 1. Activate your HawkID

Shortly after you're admitted to the program, you'll receive an email with HawkID setup instructions from admissions@uiowa.edu. Activate your HawkID and create a password. It may take up to 24 hours to access all UI systems, including your uiowa.edu email account. In the meantime, you can still complete the next two steps below.
Step 2. Schedule an Advising Appointment

You can schedule your Advising Appointment using our online system.

Note: You're highly encouraged to complete New Student Orientation (Step 4 below) prior to your first advising appointment.

Step 3. Sign up to Attend a New Student Open House

Learn insights from current students, faculty, and staff for a successful program start. Sign up online.

Step 4. Complete New Student Orientation

This online, self-paced tutorial is designed to guide you through important steps to prepare for your classes and program.

Where to find Orientation: One or two business days after you activate your HawkID, you'll be added to the course and receive an email invitation in your uiowa.edu account from "University of Iowa <notifications@instructure.com>" with the subject line "Course Invitation." Log into your @uiowa email account using your HawkID and password to find the invitation link.

Short on Time? If you aren't able to complete the steps above prior to getting registered or starting class, you should review this New Student Guide and complete the items noted on the checklist on page 2.
