New student checklist

Your to-do's before classes start.

  1. Activate your HawkID
Set-up instructions were in the email you received from admissions@uiowa.edu after you were admitted to the program.
  1. Set up your @uiowa email
Log in to MyUI > "Student Records" > "My Email" > request an email account. This is important—we send all official program communication to your @uiowa email.
  1. Register for courses through MyUI
First, check out the Professional Business Analytics course schedule.  When registering, ensure that you are enrolled in the correct section. A special permission code will be sent to you a week before early registration.
  1. Confirm your tuition payment plan
If you need to defer payment for employer reimbursement, familiarize yourself with the policies and make sure you've submitted the deferred payment form.
  1. Log in to ICON before your classes begin
You can set ICON notifications to receive updates by email.
  1. Purchase textbooks
Check on ICON or MyUI/courses to see what textbook or other materials required.
