  • 11 courses (33 s.h.) from MBA curriculum
  • 4 courses (12 s.h.) from Healthcare Management 

Format

Iowa MBA: online, in-person, and hybrid formats. Most meet one night per week. 

Healthcare Certificate: in-person only. One night a week (a Tuesday or Wednesday) for five weeks. Classes are typically 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. but may begin as early as 3:30 p.m. 

Time to complete

Set your own pace. The average time to complete the Iowa MBA is three years, but you can take up to ten.

Cost

Iowa MBA courses: $2,250 per course. 

Healthcare Certificate courses: $3,750 per course. The Healthcare Management Certificate can also be earned on its own from the College of Public Health

In addition to eleven MBA courses (see below), you'll complete these four Healthcare Management Certificate courses in the order listed.

  • Health Policy (HMP:5610)
  • Leadership of Healthcare Organizations (HMP:6355)
  • Healthcare Financial Management (HMP:6410—you'll need to complete Corporate Financial Reporting [MBA:8140] first)
