About us

The Tippie Business Honor Society promotes academic excellence, leadership, and outstanding achievement in business and in our community.

Expand your network

Form lifelong friendships with some of the brightest students on campus. Build your network with the highest achievers across all business majors.

Develop leadership skills

Lead a service project organized by the society every year. Engage in activities to promote ethical business practices and social responsibility.

Build your expertise

Get access to honors courses and the opportunity to earn an Honors in the Major distinction by working with Tippie’s world-class faculty in an area that interests you.

How to join

Membership in the Tippie Business Honor Society is a distinction reserved for exceptional business students whose University of Iowa GPA places them in the top 10% of students enrolled in Tippie. Membership runs for a period of 12 months, January to December, and new invitations are issued the following January, again based on University of Iowa GPA.

If you are qualified to join, you will receive a personal invitation from the faculty director of the Honors Program and the Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Program, following close of grades and tabulation of student GPAs.
