The Position
The Department of Accounting within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one Tenured Faculty Position in Accounting at the level of Associate or Full Professor starting Fall 2027. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Position is 100% time with benefits. The Position
The Department of Accounting within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one non-tenure Instructional Track Faculty Position in Accounting at the levels of Assistant Professor of Instruction or Practice, Associate Professor of Instruction or Practice, or Full Professor of Instruction or Practice starting Spring 2027. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Position may range from 50% time (teaching 4 classes/year) to 100% time (teaching 8 classes/year) and include a 1-7 year contract, determined by rank and experience, with benefits. The Finance Department is a leading center for research and education in finance. Our faculty includes 31 full-time members, with 18 tenure and tenure-track faculty, conducting a wide variety of research in asset pricing, corporate finance, banking, household finance, insurance and risk management, and real estate. We serve over 1,000 students across our undergraduate and graduate degree programs, providing a rigorous curriculum that prepares them for successful careers. The Department
Analytics is the transformation of data into insight for better decision making, and Business Analytics is the application of analytics to business. As the process for transforming data into insight is inherently multi-disciplinary, Business Analytics lies at the intersection of Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Big Data, Applied Mathematics (particularly Optimization), Operations, and Business.
The Department of Business Analytics in the Tippie College of Business has been at the forefront of research in Analytics for decades and, as a recent recipient of the INFORMS UPS George D. Smith Prize, is honored to be a top department in the world for preparing students for careers in analytics. The department has research strengths in predictive analytics in the areas of health care, social issues, text, and social media, and faculty members have developed key methodologies in data mining, social-network analysis and mathematical optimization. The department is also internationally known for work in supply-chain design, transportation, and operations management.
The Department of Business Analytics offers a BBA in Business Analytics and Information Systems, an MS in Business Analytics (both part-time and full-time programs, with the part-time master’s program ranked #5 in the nation by Fortune), as well as the PhD degree. Through its Tippie Analytics Cooperative, the department is actively engaged with local, national, and Fortune 500 companies to continually enhance and improve student learning.

The Position
Assistant Professor of Marketing (preference in Consumer Behavior): The Department of Marketing within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Department of Marketing at the level of Assistant Professor starting Fall 2027. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Position is 100% time with benefits.
