MBA entrance exam
The Professional MBA Program accepts either the GMAT or GRE for admission.
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer-adaptive test that measures verbal, mathematical, reasoning, and analytical writing skills. Cost: $250
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a computer-based test that measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing skills. Cost: $205
What GMAT or GRE score do you need?
We carefully consider your entire application, not just your test scores. This includes your work background, undergrad GPA, and test scores (if you started as a PreMBA student, we’ll also consider your grades for those courses). If your score falls below the first quartile (lower than 25%), we recommend retaking before applying. GMAT and GRE scores are good for five years. Apply before your scores expire.
- Target GMAT total score: 520+
- Target GRE score: 153+ Quantitative, 153+ Verbal
It definitely pays to practice for the tests and familiarize yourself with their format. To get you started, we've created a cheat sheet with test prep resources based on input from our alumni.
We’ll waive the GMAT/GRE if you have a master's degree or terminal degree (PhD, MD, JD, PharmD) that:
- Was earned from an accredited U.S. postsecondary institution listed on the U.S. Department of Education’s list. Advanced degrees from non-U.S. institutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Was earned with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
If you meet these criteria, but your master’s coursework doesn’t show us proof of your ability to manage the quant-heavy MBA courses, we may admit you first on a conditional basis. Request a waiver by emailing a scanned copy of your graduate transcript to email@example.com. We'll eventually need your official transcript to finalize the waiver.
