Chad Van Iddekinge

Director, Graduate Studies and Henry B. Tippie Research Professor in Management

Introduction

Chad H. Van Iddekinge is the Henry B. Tippie Research Professor of Management. He received his MS and PhD degrees in industrial and organizational psychology from Clemson University. Chad’s research focuses on how organizations make staffing decisions and how those decisions affect job applicants and the quality and diversity of a firm’s workforce. His research has been published in leading journals such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and Personnel Psychology, and has been featured in outlets such as the Harvard Business Review and Glassdor.com. Chad is a fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Human Resources Research Organization. Before joining University of Iowa, he was a professor in the College of Business at Florida State University. And prior to his academic career, Chad spent several years working as a human resources consultant in Alexandria, Virginia.
