The Tippie College of Business’ Iowa MBA program was ranked in the top 10% for both business analytics and general management in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report national rankings of graduate and professional programs published today.
The program ranked 22nd for business analytics in the new ranking. U.S. News also ranked the Iowa MBA’s general management in the top 10%, at 15th. Overall, the program ranked 73rd of 366 programs that were ranked, up three spots from last year.
The Iowa MBA also ranked 46th for veterans, among the top 15% of all schools.
Jennifer Blackhurst, associate dean for graduate management programs, noted the Iowa MBA has only been offered fully online for three years and has not yet produced significant numbers of the type of alumni data U.S. News uses to rank programs. As the program produces more alumni, she said the ranking is expected to rise.
“New entrants start at a low point by design, so our goal is steady progress from year to year,” said Blackhurst. “We’re pleased with the progress we’ve made so far especially in the specialty areas.”
