You have a To-Do List. Now you should have a Done List.

Amy Colbert, professor of management and entrepreneurship at Tippie, says she keeps such a list and looks back on it every month to remind herself of everything she’s accomplished in her work. “We don’t realize we’re having an impact because as soon as we finish something, as soon as we make a difference, we rush on to the next thing,” she said.   

So, the next time you scratch something off your To-Do List, write it down on your Done List.  

“At the end of the month, give yourself a few minutes to look at your Done List to see what you accomplished, something that you can celebrate and feel good about,” she said.
