Analytics put into business context

When you have one of the best analytics programs in the country, it’s easy to make new friends.

Corporations, charities, local businesses—virtually everyone who has data needs access to expertise. And we’re here to provide just that. Tippie Analytics Cooperative is the Tippie College of Business’ industry-facing arm for all things analytics. We build partnerships throughout the region that result in hands-on projects for our students and data-based business decisions for our clients.

Real experience for students

We teach advanced computational and quant skills at all levels—from undergraduate to master’s and doctoral students. We believe solving real business problems multiplies the impact of what students learn in class.

Real impact for businesses

Want to optimize response rates to a marketing campaign? We can help you with that. Want to influence health care decisions through lifestyle choices or predict who’s likely to contribute to your charity? We can do that. Correction. We’ve done that.

World-class faculty

Some of the most sought-after data scientists, mathematicians, and optimization gurus in the country are here at Tippie. Our passionate faculty corps gives our students the mentoring they need to tackle what comes their way.

Give us projects

We are problem-solvers at heart and we love dealing with real data. Solving real business problems puts the essence of what we teach into business perspective.

Connect with us

Tippie’s analytics students have a very active on-campus student organization called Tippie Tech. Connect with them to sponsor activities, meet students in the annual career fair, or share your expertise as a guest speaker in class.

Hire our grads

There was a day when you needed a computer science grad to comb through your data and a finance grad to put together an NPV and demonstrate business potential. Our students are equipped to do both. Join the impressive list of companies who hire our students as interns or full-time employees.

Faculty Story
Jeff Ohlmann

“The interest in sports analytics started with the Moneyball phenomenon, and it's really grown as the amount of data has proliferated. There's always a harder problem to be solved.”

Support the Analytics Cooperative

We're able to provide hands-on analytics experiences to our students thanks to generous endowments and donations. Give to the cooperative and help us further our mission of multiplying the impact of our coursework through real-world projects.
